How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased online at our website under the tab “Book A Tour”.

How far in advance do I need to purchase tour tickets?
We recommend you purchase your ticket at least two days in advance as tours often sell out. However, if space is still available you can purchase up to two hours before the tour start time. This gives you plenty of time to arrive at the first restaurant for the tour you selected.

What is your cancellation policy? Can I get a refund on my ticket?
Our partnering restaurants, bars and specialty shops gear up for our tours in advance and base their preparation on the number of persons in any given tour. However, we are not without a heart – we know things can change during your trip so as long as we have a minimum 24 hour notice of your cancellation, we will be happy to refund 50% of your purchase price.

We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please contact us to let us know what date you are interested in.

What is included in my ticket price?
Your purchase price includes a tasting (and then some) at each restaurant, bar or specialty shop on your tour, a talented and beautiful tour guide and our Walking Gourmet discount card for future dining. All in all, it’s a great value and even a greater way to experience some of Las Vegas’ finest dining establishments.

Are tickets available for children?
You brought your children to Las Vegas with you? And why not, they are part of the family and if you want them here, so do we. Yes, children are welcome on some tours. Children under the age of 2 are free. All other children are charged our regular tour pricing. Please note that some of our tours are “adult only” (21 years or older) because one or more stops may be at bar locations that do not allow anyone under 21 years of age in their establishment.

Is my ticket transferable to another person?
Yes, your ticket is transferable to another guest. Please ask the person to whom you transferred your ticket to let your tour guide know.

Where does our tour begin?
You will meet your tour guide at the first stop on the tour you selected. Tour guides will be wearing The Walking Gourmet shirt.

How many guests are in a typical tour?
Most tours have a maximum capacity of 20 people – (that’s why booking early is important). A smaller group of 20 allows our guests to not “get lost in the shuffle” of larger groups. We sincerely believe that less can be more when guests have an opportunity to interact with each other, restaurant personnel and their tour guide.

Do we finish the tour where we start the tour?
No. Generally, the tour will conclude at the last restaurant, bar or specialty shop on your tour. You are then free to go about your day.

Is the price of my tour all inclusive?
Yes. All food, beverages, taxes and restaurant gratuities are included. However, tipping your tour guide is appreciated if you feel they have enhanced your tour experience.

Does The Walking Gourmet provide transportation to the tour’s starting restaurant, bar or specialty shop?
At this time, we do not. Tour guests are responsible for arriving at the starting point of their tour at the designated time. Las Vegas offers many different modes of transportation; from taxis to our monorail system. In addition, all tours take place within a relatively small geographical footprint along the Las Vegas Strip.

Tour times and length
Tours are designed to take 2 ½ to 3 hours. Most tours start at 2pm and end around 5pm (depending on how much fun you are having). Tour guests meet at a designated location which is typically near the first restaurant, bar or specialty shop on the tour. Tour guests are free to go about their day following the last stop on the tour.

Can we bring friends along if they are not eating on the tour?
Tours are limited to those who purchase tickets. However, if it is a last minute invite (say you meet someone at the craps table) you can go on line and purchase a ticket for them. Please make this purchase at least 2 hours prior to the tour start time.

I always take pictures while on vacation—can I take pictures and/or videos of the tour?
Careful, this is Las Vegas and what happens here, stays here. Having said that, we love pictures! On occasion, some of our more unique restaurants, bars or specialty shops may not allow photos but you will know that when entering the establishment. By the way, videotaping and recording devices are prohibited.

When we taste something along the tour that really tastes good to us, can we purchase more of it?
Not during the tour, per se. However, at the end of each tour we will provide you with our Walking Gourmet discount card that is good at the restaurants, bars and specialty shops on your tour. Discounts may include a percentage off future dining, a free appetizer or a free dessert. Everyone wants you back again!

What if we need to use the restroom along the way?
Because our tours most often take place in hotels, restrooms are always close by. Just signal your tour guide for your next pit stop and we will wait patiently for you.

Do we tip our tour guide?
If you feel your tour guide helped make your tour more enjoyable, than by all means give them a tip. Most tips fall into the 15% of ticket price category or one million dollars (whichever you are more comfortable with)!

What kind of food will we be eating?
How many restaurants are on your tour?
I’m a vegetarian and/or have food allergies. Can I request a specific menu?
Will we know what restaurants and what type of food we will be eating ahead of time?

Will there be enough food on the tour to fill me up?
Most all of our tours are designed to fill you up. Of course, that will vary from person to person. Our goal is to allow you to sample foods you may not have already experienced prior to your tour. Considering our tours begin at roughly 2pm each day, we would highly recommend you eat something earlier in the day. Remember, we are not The Walking Buffet, we are the Walking Gourmet. Having said that, most guests will leave the tour filled up.

What kind of food will we be eating?
The tour you select will greatly influence the type of food you will be sampling. We will state the obvious first; if there are ethnic restaurants on your tour, you can certainly expect to experience those specific types of food. What may not be obvious is that many of the chefs will prepare their own unique version of any given food. All we would recommend is that you try whatever is being served. If you don’t care for it – don’t finish it. There will be no pressure to clean your plate on our tours.

How many restaurants are on your tour?
Most tours will feature several stops and a variety of food samplings which will typically include a cocktail and a dessert. We have hand-picked these restaurants from the over 330 restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. Talk about your “restaurant row”.

I’m a vegetarian and/or have food allergies. Can I request a specific menu?
Just let us know of any dietary requirements when you sign up for your tour and we will be sure to notify the restaurant of your needs. It is also wise to advise your tour guide of such requirements at the beginning of your tour.

Will we know what restaurants and what type of food we will be eating ahead of time?
Our website details the participating restaurants in our tour along with the restaurants on each individual tour. However, from time to time we do rotate restaurants. The world-renowned chefs of each restaurant have worked hard to put together a sampling of their tasty menu and will prepare portions of their mouth-watering selections based on the season and at the chef’s direction for the participants on the tour.

How much walking is involved in this tour?
Not as much as our name would imply. Most tours take place within a single hotel or adjoining hotels. However, walking shoes are recommended (no running shoes allowed – we never run!). Also, it’s probably a good idea to bring a bottle of water along.

Can I bring my pet?
You brought your pet with you to Las Vegas? Do they gamble? We’re afraid Sparky will have to stay home for this one.

Do you offer tours to private groups?

Only if you want to have more fun than you have ever had in your life. Private group tours are definitely available AND we can customize your dining experience if you like. Please contact our Group Sales Department through our website. We will contact you and answer any questions you may have.

Do you have coupons available for the tour?
From time to time, The Walking Gourmet will have special promotions. Those promotions will be shown as part of our tour pricing and available for viewing when you go to the “Book A Tour” tab on our website.

Las Vegas can get really hot during the summer. How do we walk around in that heat?
But it’s dry heat – you won’t even know it’s hot! Okay, you’re right, it does get hot here. It also gets a bit cool during the winter unless you are from the Northeast and then you can forget we said that. Our tours are designed for limited outdoor walking, thus keeping you in the environmentally controlled confines of the finest hotels in the world.

Do you offer tours in any other languages?
We are ready and able to take you on any one of our tours via a language other than English. We will provide a translator for private groups of 12 or more. There is an additional charge for the translator.
